He started off as a neighbor of mine and we were separated us by no more than a cheap, thin wall between our rooms. From neighbors we quickly became friends, and from friends we created a special bond that was as strong as his love for an Arby’s roast beef sandwich.

More often than not though we were separated by less than a tiny wall, as most of the time we were laughing it up in the infamous 409 along with the rest of our wonderful floormates.

The next year we were separated by a floor, and while the honeymoon period was over the sparks were still flying strong. The following year he moved away yet he remained close to all our hearts–and no closer to our hearts has he ever been to us than he is today.

Stephen was as simple and carefree a guy as there ever was. It took little effort to bring a smile to his face, and even less on his part to bring a smile to our hearts. Only a circumstance such as this is he able to bring sorrow to us, however he’s provided us with a lifetime of wonderful memories that can easily patch our hearts.

We’ll miss you buddy :)
