Have you ever been hated or discriminated against?
Posted by Tien Nguyen under Uncategorized
I have.
I was at Stacks in Menlo Park this past Saturday with my near 24-year-old friend who looks like a 16 year old and possesses the personality of an 8-year-old.
When our waiter was ready to take our order I requested an OJ and an omelet, our other friend got French toast, and my “I don’t ever want to grow up friend” tried to get the “Mickey Mouse pancakes”. Of course these weren’t listed on our regular menus, but were apparently from the kids menu–which sadly didn’t have any orders of kids on there.
Him: Um, you can’t order from the kid’s menu.
Her: But, but I really like them!
Him: Um. I guess I can take a regular order and have them shaped into Mickey Mouse ears for you.
Her: Yes, please!
We eventually got the order as described, however they were sans the chocolate chips!
Normally such a lack of service would result in a deduction of stars in the overall rating to this relatively mediocre place–but seriously now, when the fuck are you ever going to run into this type of situation?
