The true story behind exactly what happened on the night of September 15, 2007 at “Slide”, a trendy, somewhat exclusive nightclub located in a downstairs basement in the heart of Union Square in downtown San Francisco, where one girl left with a punctured eye, and three alleged suspects went loose, but we’re all free to make our own assumption in the court of the internet
The background:

During this past week a “wanted” flyer has been passed around Myspace like wildfire, with the accuser accusing the accused of attacking her on the night in question, with the intention of finding someone who can identify them and bring them to justice–either court wise or vigilante wise.

A couple of messages were attached from a third party detailing the incident was also posted, along with a picture (warning: graphic) of the victim during the alleged aftermath :

it’s a pretty small world….these girls HAVE to be friends of your friends friend, etc…..whatever…..someone HAS to know who these people are. PLEASE HELP…it’s not right what happened and if it can’t be handled the way it should and these people get away….than KARMA IS A BIIIIIIIIIIIIITCH and will be much much worse….so either way. THEY’RE FUCKED! That’s not a threat but it’s reality and god knows I wouldn’t step down to their pathetic level and do something so completely barbaric (yeah it’s pretty much calling them barbarians aka freaking uncivilized human beings) Don’t be selfish and don’t be stupid…if you know anything or anyone do the right thing. Thank you. -bebe

As well as a description of what allegedly happened:

One of my friends is friends with Nikki. What happened was, Nikki and another friend were in the bathroom. A verbal altercation happened (the girls in the photo were calling Nikki white trash, etc etc) and Nikki and her friend tried to leave the bathroom. However, the girls wouldn’t get out of their face, so Nikki shoved one aside to try to leave. Next thing she knew, she was stabbed with the stilletto and she woke up on the ground with a security guard telling her it would be okay and an ambulance is on its way.

The message spread virally, as sympathy quickly gained for the victim at hand, and hatred for the skanky hoes girls grew rapidly.

People posted the image on flickr, craigslist, and message boards all over trying to find a way to identify the suspect, which, again in the court of the internet was already guilty guilty guilty.

However, things took a hard twisting turn when, *cue dramatic music* the brother of the suspect leashed out at the masses:

NOTE FROM GEEZY:

There is a nasty posting that is going around that is falsely accusing my sister of being involved in a altercation that left a girl wounded. To the girl that “supposedly” got stabbed in the eye you are definitely in our thoughts and prayers. BUT…..To those people who are posting this bulletin please be aware that you guys are involving yourselves in falsely accusing someone who is innocent until proven innocent. I’m not a gangster or claim to be hard by any means but if there is one thing you don’t do it is fuck with a man’s family and if there is one person you don’t fuck with it is MY sister. If you know the people who got hurt in this incident let them know to feel free to leave me a message or if you know people who are posting this bulletin please have them contact me cause they obviously dont have their facts strait.

Holla at me,
Geezy

As welll as one of the girls allegedly pictured in the wanted flyer, this time with a much greater control of the English language:

I am one of the girls in the “wanted” picture and want to assure everyone who knows me and/or my friends that we would never have been involved in such an act of violence. We were indeed at Slide on 09/08/07 and someone from MingleNow.com took our photo. We never believed that our picture would be used with an intent to frame us.

Whoever put this bulletin together and also the Flyer on Minglenow.com should be prepared to face legal action and expect to be sued for slander, defamation of character, and fraud. All people and entities involved in the production of this false accusation will be held liable and responsible to the full extent for the damages caused. The San Francisco Police Dept. has been contacted and an investigation is currently in process.

If you have any information at all as to the origins of the flyer on Minglenow.com or the bulletin shown below, please send me a message. We need names, e-mail adresses, case numbers, and police report information.

Please forward this bulletin to everyone you know. I’m certain that our names will be cleared. Whoever did perform this act, if it is true, will be held accountable. We do truly want justice for Nikki.

And finally, at least update, it seems as if the suspect in question, Nikki (the suspect) has tried to squash all matters from a legal standpoint by taking matters into her own hands.

This is a follow-up to Michael Geist’s (Ghost) and Nikki’s (Nicole)
claims that the 3 girls pictured at Slide committed a crime. Shocked
to hear that we were accused of something we did not commit, and
equally socked to hear that people were planning to attack us out of
erroneous information, we went to 850 Bryant, the San Francisco Police
Department, to file a report for our own protection and to learn more
about the attack on Nikki. We learned that Nikki’s case is case #
070922183, that the case was immediately closed due to her being
extremely drunk while filing the report, and that the case was filed at
12:24am on Sunday morning / Saturday night. If the case was filed at
12:24am, then the attack happened before midnight, whereas we were at
Slide between midnight and 1am, so we could not have been responsible
for the attack. We do not know Nikki, never saw Nikki that night, and
are in no way connected to the crime. Our understanding is that many
many people believe otherwise and still wish to attack us. We ask that
the parties involved please correct the situation by informing
everybody that we are in no way responsible. We would especially
appreciate it if Michael and Nikki take the lead in this effort. We
have an attorney and gathered evidence of damages and will prosecute if
necessary, but we would much rather have reputations corrected the
old-fashioned way: by word of mouth.

Them’s certainly fighting words.
